这篇课文相信很多读者都曾经仔细阅读过，但是还是在这里罗嗦一下，课文说的是一只美洲狮出没于村庄城镇引起居民不安的故事。课文难点不多，但是经典句式值得借鉴：
1.Pumas are large,cat-like animals which are found in America.
美洲狮是一种体型似猫的大动物，产于美洲。
句型："...are...animals which are found in..."这个句子在介绍某种动物的特征,产地时很有用.注意,found之前要使用一般时态的are,因为这里陈述的是一个事实.
e.g. Pandas are large,cat-like animals which are found in Asia.
下面,我们针对这句话做一些小的变化:
1)."It is said that ...are...animals which are found in..."在你拿不准的时候,"据说"(it is said/reported...)很实用,避免你记错造成的尴尬,当别人质疑你的时候,你也可以理直气壮的说:我说的是"据说"!
2).如果你想介绍某个地方，那么把动物换作地点即可:"...is a...place which is located in...(位于)"
e.g. Beijing is an amazing city which is located in the north of China.
2.Wherever it went,it left behind it a trail of dead dear and small animals like rabits.
无论它走到哪儿，一路上总会留下一串死鹿以及死兔子之类的小动物。
句型："Wherever...,it leaves behind it a trail of..."也可以说成"wherever...,it leaves a trail of...behind it."
e.g.1). Wherever he goes,he leaves behind him a trail of broken hearts.(obviously,he is a play boy.)
2).Wherever he went,the wound left behind him a trail of blood.
变化:
1)."Wherever...,it always..."
e.g. Wherever she goes,she always messes things up.

Whoever you are,you cannot leave behind you a trail of rubbish in the garden.
3.It is disturbing to think that a dangerous wild animal is still at large in the quite countryard.
想到宁静的山村里有一头危险的野兽继续逍遥流窜，令人担心。
句型："It is disturbing to think that..."一想到...就担心
e.g. It is disturbing to think that he is alone in the strange city.
变化:
1)."It is sadhappyexcitingdepressing...to think that..."
e.g. It is exciting to think that i am going to the college next month.
It is depressing to think that i have such a lot of homework to do.
2)."To think that...is..."
e.g. To think that i am going to the college next month is exciting.
