My Decision on Whether to Take the Second English Exam
My name is Wu Lei, a student at Mingqi Middle School. I recently achieved a score of 118 on my first English exam. After careful consideration, I have decided not to take the second English exam in June.
One major reason is that I am satisfied with my current score. A score of 118 reflects my hard work and preparation, and it meets my expectations. Instead of focusing on retaking the exam, I would like to spend my time improving other subjects where I may have greater room for growth.
Another reason is the pressure involved. Preparing for another exam would require significant effort and time, which might affect my overall performance in other areas. I believe it is more important to maintain a balanced approach to my studies.
Finally, I want to use this opportunity to explore English beyond exam requirements. Reading books, watching films, and practicing spoken English are ways I can continue to improve my skills without the stress of exam preparation.
In conclusion, I believe sticking with my current score is the right choice for my personal and academic development.
