小区就像我一样，在不停地成长着、变化着。我由一个嗷嗷待哺的小婴儿变成了一名小学生，居住的西机小区也由朴实无华变得多姿多彩了。

以前的西机饮食城昏暗无比，无论是里面的桌椅板凳还是外面的墙壁，没有一处是光滑平整的，过了饭点就更冷清了，就像一个大大的空库房。但是，在我上二年级那年，它突然由一个脏兮兮的小孩变成了一个干净整洁的大孩子了。原来是一层的砖瓦房，现在改建成三层的商用房，一层宽敞如会议大厅式的地方装饰成了新式的饮食城，整整齐齐、干干净净的厨房，崭新的桌椅，统一规划，很是温馨。只要开门，里面的人就络绎不绝，特别是中午，你不去早点还就没座位了呢！

还有现在的社区超市，以前是一间上世纪六七十年代建成的门面房，光线昏暗，水泥地面，时间久了有的地方变得黑乎乎的。而如今，已变成了两层光亮的大楼，一层用作超市，二层是各种课外兴趣班，有画画、跳舞等等。

小区中间是我们的校园，以前，校门口北边是个废弃的篮球场加古老的看台，中间的场地坑坑洼洼的，篮板早不知去哪里了，一级级看台上凹凸不平，杂草丛生。现在，那里矗立着两栋富有现代气息的高层住宅楼，周围是平整的水泥路面，还建成了正规的停车位和漂亮的绿化带，感觉像是一个小乞丐一夕之间变成了一个英俊潇洒的王子。

正对着校门口有一个大草坪，上面种植的天然草坪草时间太久了，好多都已枯死，许多地块被不知哪里冒出的杂草覆盖了，尤其是那个三叶草，都快蔓延半个草坪了。整个地面也高低不平的，时不时地会有人摔倒。去年秋季，这个草坪突然来了个大变身，参差不齐的各类杂草不见了踪影，整整齐齐的一大片新绿衣披在了那块地上，周围是一圈红色的橡胶跑道，一个现代化的大足球场应运而生了。

小区变化真大呀！就像丑小鸭变成了白天鹅，猪八戒变成了天蓬元帅一样，我相信它还会继续跟着时代的步伐向前迈进，变得越来越美丽。
