Comment on the different corporate governance structure at Volkswagen compared to a typical US company.
Do you think that Volkswagen corporate governance structure contributed to the Dieselgate scandal? Explain why or why not?
What leadership factors contributed to Dieselgate? Do you think that "Mr Piëch's plan was for VW to become the world's biggest carmaker by volume by 2018" contributed to the emissions scandal? (quote from Economist article, VW conquers the world).

Automobile manufacturing has had a number of large recalls (Honda airbags, Toyota acceleration,etc.). Is this industry more susceptible to such problems, or do we just hear about them more
