Please submit your artist statement in the “Statement of Intent” section of the application. This should be a 500-1000 word essay that sheds light on your practice and research. It should place the work being reviewed within the context of contemporary art discourses. It should also address your goals with respect to graduate school and what you hope to accomplish at VCU.
