太原作文地带老师解读定语从句中的"陷阱"
定语从句成为考试中必不可少的考察点。那么定语从句到底考察什么呢？简单地说，就是考察即将填的空到底是填关系代词还是关系副词。
同学们可以思考一下这样的问题：先行词如果是时间，地点或者原因，我们应该选择哪些关系词呢？相信有同学已经有了答案，分别选when, where, why 这样的关系副词。也就是说当同学们看见时间地点原因这类的名词，就一定选择相应的关系副词。我们先来看看一下的这道题
I can never forget the day ____ we worked together and the day ____ we spent together in the summer.
A. when; when
B. which; when
C. what; that
D. when; which
这道题的句意是我永远不会忘记我们工作在一起的那些天还有我们暑假在一起的那些天。那么不难知道，先行词是the day, 据我们刚才的结论，A就应该被选出来，但是正确答案是D，也就是说刚才那个简论是不成立的。先行词是时间、地点或是原因，不一定选择关系副词，这一个点就是定语从句中的"陷阱"。现在有个小方法可以避免我们跌入"陷阱"---还原法。还原法就是把先行词还原到定语从句中。根据我们这个题目，我们来进行还原，分别是：
1、 we worked together in the day.
2、 we spent the day together in the summer.
第一个句子是加了in才能还原the day，不难看出，还原的机构是：介词+ 时间，这时候用when；而第二个句子是直接还原the day，那么不是刚才的"介词+时间"的结构，而the day在整个句子出现了两次，所以不难看出只能选关系代词which来取代the day.
She says that she'll never forget the time ________ she's spent working as a secretary in our company.
A. which
B. when
C. how
D. where
利用还原法，把the time还原到定语从句中：She's spent the time working as a secretary in our company.不难看出正确答案应该是A
类似的"陷阱"题目，同样可以应用还原法
This is just the place ________ I am longing to visit these years.
A. that
B. where
C. in which
D. to which
还原the place 到定语从句中I am longing to visit the place these years,直接还原，应该用关系代词代替the place，正确答案是A 而不是where
This was the reason ______ Mac gave me the other day.
A. why
B. for that,
C. which
D. for which.
还原the reason到定语从句，Mac gave me the reason the other day. 直接还原，正确答案是C，而不是why 或者for which.
