wolfgang mozart`s father was a good musician and when his daughter was a schoolgirl, the father tool pains to teach her to play classical pieces on the piano. wolfgang, not yet four years old, loved to listen to his sister`s practice.
one day, he asked to be allowed to play the piece his sister had been practising. but the request was turned down as a joke, for he was too young to be taken seriously. after tea that evening,the father heard the piece being played upstairs, better mastered than ever.
he was commenting on the progress made by his daughter when he suddenly realized that at the moment the girl was washing pots in the kitchen. he and his wife crept upstairs and, to their great amazement, found it was little wolfgang who was playing the piece in the darkness.
