　　Dear Professor Smith, I'm Li Ming, chairman of theStudent Union.

　　It's a great pleasure to invite you to be the judge forthis year's English Drama Contest.

　　As the main organizer of this competition, we havebeen busy preparing for two months.

　　To our delight, everything has gone smoothly andit is just around the corner.

　　According to the schedule, there will be two rounds.

　　Twenty groups from different departments will compete in the preliminary contest which willbe held on the next Saturday night, 7: 00 p. m., in the Student Club.

　　Ten groups will be chosen to take part in the final one week later, at the same time and placeas the first round.
