Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “confidence is the first secret of success. ” People have ideals, and I‘m no exception. My dream is to be president of Harvard. Because I have absolute confidence and courage, and a wealth of knowledge. I used to be too timid to say that my dream was to be president of Harvard. I could only keep my wishes to myself. But when I went to school, everything changed. When I do everything, I always say, “I can do it. ”. All this change comes from a humble “word” . It was first grade, and neither of US could write. Once, our head teacher, Chi Wei, asked more than 50 of our students to write on the blackboard when they saw who had raised their hands. We didnt raise our hands. Chi Wei said, “who will write the words on the blackboard? ” No one raised their hands. Chi Teacher asked: “who dare to try? ” I thought to myself: “I can, but can write wrong... ” my heart is like two little people in a fight, white little people said “to” , black little people said “not to” . I‘ve been distracted. I thought of Edisons 99 experiments; of the basketball players in wheelchairs; of the blind swimmers who overcame their fear of the dark. I nervously raised my hand and went to the lectern to write down the answer... Later on, there was one more thing in my mind -- self-confidence.
