1. Lu Bu
Lu Bu, styled Fengxian, was by far one of the best, if not the best, warrior China has ever seen. His Heavenly Crescent Halberd has never met a match in the world. He was famous also for his skills in archery. During a battle between Liu Bei and Yuan Shu, Lu Bu bet that he could, and he did, shoot his halberd head with his bow and arrows from 500 steps away. If it succeeded, the two warlords would have to stop battling. With a “Twang” and the arrow hit the halberd’s head. The warlords there forced to stop battling. He is also famous for his “Three Heroes Battle Lu Bu”, in which Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei fought Lu Bu together, and Lu Bu was still able to take them before he got too tired. Although this person was an expert in fighting, he was not loyal at all, well, except to his wife Diao Chan. He killed Ding Yuan, his adoptive father, because Dong Zhuo offered him the Red Hare horse, and after Wang Yun promised him Diao Chan, a beauty, he killed Dong Zhuo, his new adoptive father. He was killed by Cao Cao after his generals rebelled and stole his halberd and horse.
2. Zhao Yun
Zhao Yun, styled and better known as Zilong, was the second most powerful general in the history of Three Kingdoms. The opposite of Lu Bu, he was extremely loyal to Liu Bei. He wields a “Dragon Courage Silver Spear” and was famous for the Battle of Chang Ban, in which he fought the million people army all by himself trying to find Liu Bei’s family members. During that battle, he took the Green Cauldron Sword of Light, one of Cao Cao’s two famous swords, which can slash metal like normal knives cut tofu. He was also famous for seizing Ah-Dou, Liu Bei’s son, on the river, in which Sun Shangxiang, wife of Liu Bei and sister of Sun Quan, leader of Wu, was tricked to taking Ah-Dou along with her during a visit to her mother, who she was told was dying. Zhao Yun, hearing of this, jumped onto her boat and took Ah-Dou from her. He was later rescued by Zhang Fei when he didn’t want to kill anyone and was trapped in the boat, not knowing what to do.
3. Dian Wei
Yes, he is that bald guy that always is around Cao Cao in the Dynasty Warriors. But in real life, he wasn’t bald, but the opposite of bald, he was pretty “hairy”. Wielding two Iron Halberds, Dian Wei was the most powerful warrior in Cao Cao’s army. He was a great general, and his twelve hand-axes are even more powerful, for it can knock anyone off their horse if Dian Wei threw these at you. He gained his fame saving Cao Cao in a battle with Lu Bu, in which he fought Lu Bu himself, and flung his hand-axes at whoever came near Cao Cao. Dian Wei was found by Xiahou Dun while hunting, and Xiahou Dun saw him chasing after a tiger and punching it to death with his bare hands, so he was taken to Xiahou Dun’s camp. There, Dian Wei saw that a heavy flag had fallen and couldn’t be held up again. Seeing this, Dian Wei went forward and lifted the banner himself. Cao Cao, seeing that Dian Wei had a lot of strength, exclaimed “This must be the current day E Lai!”, therefore, giving Dian Wei his nickname. Dian Wei was killed by Zhang Xiu after he was drunk and his halberds were stolen.
4. Guan Yu
Guan Yu, styled Yunchang, is known as the Sage of War, Saintly Emperor Guan the Great God Who Subdues Demons of the Three Worlds and Whose Awe Spreads Far and Moves Heaven, and Generous Brave Loyal Intelligent Great Saintly Emperor Guan who protects the People and the Country. He is by far the most known person in the history of the Three Kingdoms because he was later made a god. He is shown in statues wielding a Green Dragon Crescent Blade, which was nicknamed “The Cold Faced Saw” because blood once froze onto this blade in battle. Legend has it that the ironsmith who made Guan Yu’s blade chopped up a dragon and put it in this blade, giving it special powers. Guan Yu once stuck the blade in the ground and a spring formed from the hole that the blade made. Guan Yu first showed his powers when he killed Hua Xiong, a warrior that defeated many great generals, before Hua Xiong even realized what had happened. He then helped Zhang Fei fight Lu Bu. He killed Yan Liang and Wen Chou during a small service period to Cao Cao, and then he fled when he found information on his brother Liu Bei. He killed the guardians of the passes he had to pass, for they did not want him to leave. He arrived then at Liu Bei’s side after killing Cai Yang and proving his loyalty. Guan Yu released Cao Cao after the Battle of Red Cliff because Cao Cao made him think that he should think of what Cao Cao did to him. He battled Huang Zhong at the battle of Changsha, proving them equal in the way of the blade. Later he showed his braveness by attending a meeting at Wu with his blade in his hands, although it was a fact that there was a trap, showing his braveness He also drowned the seven armies led by Yu Jin.
