The college students are using their summer vacation to work part-time at the university. “I planned to go home at first, but I changed my mind when I learned that the school was recruiting workers for the construction of a new student hostel. I want to be financially independent,” said Yang Xiping, from Inner Mongolia, who makes 75 yuan per day working from 6 am to 7 pm, with a two-hour nap at noon. About 60 students are spending their summer vacation at the construction site.
